Weld County’s land surface is fairly level in the east, with rolling prairies and low hills near the western border. Elevations in the county range between 4,400 to 5,000 feet, while Greeley’s official elevation is 4,668. Given the small amount of precipitation we receive, our area is often referred to as the “high desert.”
