Where "you don't have to drive far to drive far!" Boomerang is an 18-hole Par 72, links-style championship course that opened in 1991. The fairways are lined with mounds of native grasses with excellent playing conditions year round. Highland Hills, opened in 1959 and designed by Frank Hummel, is an 18-hole par 71 championship course that features tree-lined fairways, rolling hills and challenging greens. Highland Hills also offers a driving range with grass and mat hitting stations, two putting greens, one chipping green with a sand trap, a fully stocked pro shop, lessons available from PGA and LPGA professionals and the Backroom Grill. The course is available for corporate and private tournaments.

The Michener library is named for renowned author and former UNC educator James A. Michener. The library's collection includes approximately 1.5 million items in monograph, periodical, government document, audio-visual and microform formats. The UNC Music Library is located in the new addition to Frazier Hall on the Central Campus, near 10th Avenue and 17th Street. The library is open to everyone and holds more than 75,000 scores, books, periodicals and recordings.

UNC/Greeley Jazz Festival
The largest event of its kind in the nation, the festival brings together internationally recognized artists, jazz lovers, and over 300 high school and college jazz groups. Over 45 visiting artist/clinicians work with the ensembles one-on-one and present 15-20 clinic sessions on topics such as improvisation, arranging, and instrumental techniques. Cinco de Mayo/Semana Latina
Each spring, thousands of people are drawn to Island Grove Regional Park for one of the largest cultural festivals in northern Colorado. The park plays host to the annual Cinco de Mayo/Semana Latina fiesta featuring non-stop entertainment showcasing ethnic musicians, singers and dancers; an arts/crafts mercado; a culinary area featuring an array of multi-cultural home-cooked cuisine; children's activities and sporting events. The Greeley Independence Stampede
The Greeley Independence Stampede is Colorado's premier festival dating back to the late 1800's. A celebration which originally honored local potato farmers has since grown into an internationally recognized festival attracting crowds from every state in the union as well as several foreign countries. The Arts Picnic, a fun-filled event for the entire family held the last full weekend in July, features a variety of regional performing and visual artists. High Plains Chautauqua
Each August for five days, audiences step back in time as they participate in a re-creation of the turn-of-the-century traveling tent Chautauqua that provided education and entertainiment in the form of lectures, concerts, and plays. The theme of 2005 High Plains Chautauqua is "America Transformed: Hiroshima to Hula Hoops." Enjoy music and nationally acclaimed scholars who bring historical and literary figures from 1945 to 1960 to life during evenings under the big tent on Aims Community College campus. Portrayals will include Edward R. Murrow, Cesar Chavez, Harry S. Truman, Dorothy Thompson, Joseph R. McCarthy, Paul Robeson, and Thurgood Marshall. Daytime programs are on the Aims campus, in downtown Greeley, and at other venues. Programs include lectures, workshops, dramatizations, historical tours, and children's activities. The annual Festival of Trees, held in the Union Colony Civic Center lobbies the week following Thanksgiving, begins the Yuletide season with the spirit of a traditional holiday gathering.
